REAP’s story

Church of God

We are an International church that is committed to building a strong spiritual atmosphere of faith and purity, where every member is released into ministry, discipled in the Great Commandment, to obey the Great Commission and the Cultural Mandate.

The story of the REAP church began in Rotterdam in 2014 when some Indonesians and Dutch with Indo background lived in Rotterdam were longing to pray and were hungry for the teachings of God’s Word. Ps. Jefrie and Ps. Lydia were called to answer these great longing and thirst, so they opened their apartment to be a meeting place for prayer, which was then called as ‘Bidstond’. They gathered every Friday night until they could no longer fit in the living room- there were 28 people present.

Choosing to obey God’s call, Ps Jefrie and Ps Lydia started a new ministry despite a very limited knowledge of how to establish a church in a foreign country and how to write legal letters in Dutch-they both were not Dutch speakers yet. It was through the work of Holy Spirit in the form of prophecies and revelations that the church could be legally established and registered in the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce.

They held their first independent meeting at De Focus, Rotterdam. After six months of holding their meetings there, Holy Spirit, through Ps Lydia’s vision, directed them to move to Ichturskerk, Zoetermeer. In her vision, she saw a fish image and later she found out that the fish image looking like the fish on the wall of Ichtuskerk. Praise the Lord! On 28 August 2016, was the first service held at Ichthuskerk, Zoetermeer.

Our weekly services cater for English, Dutch and Indonesian speakers. We are a growing multicultural community. Our fellow believers are Indonesian, Dutch, Surinamese, Belgian, English, Curaçaoans, Arubans, etc.

REAP Church remains steadfast to our God-given mandate. God’s divine purpose has renewed our perspective on what it means of teamwork and how to be His church. In a God-inspired moment, our four core values were defined; here in REAP church, our desire is that everyone can Encounter God, Cultivate Purpose, Experience Family and Be Different.

By the grace of God, our love for missions continues to grow as we become more actively involved in building up our church. Our desire is that more people will experience the reality of God through the work of Holy Spirit here on earth as promised in Matthew 6:10.
